After continuous protests after the death of unarmed black man #GeorgeFloyd, superstar #ChrissyTeigen has used her platform of more than 13 million followers by encouraging activists and protesters to 'KEEP THIS SAME ENERGY WHEN YOU VOTE.' She carried on to say in her #Twitter post that 'The worst thing that could happen is this all happening for nothing.'

The protests that have mainly been peaceful, have took place every day since the 25th of May and been in response to the death of George Floyd, the daily occurrence of #PoliceBrutality and the continued struggles that black people face still to this day.

The protests followed suit after Floyd was suspected of a crime and was taken into police custody through the use of brute force, in which a police officer held Floyd in a chokehold for 8 minutes and 46 seconds by kneeling on his neck which led to his death.

This had once again brought up harrowing memories of similar deaths of #unarmed black people when being taken into police custody, one of the most infamous instances that gained widespread public attention is the death of #EricGarner on the 17th of July 2014; in which police used a brutal response that led to Garner's death after suspecting him of individually selling cigarettes on the street.
