People Are Asking 'Exactly Who' Are The Police 'Serving'?

Updated: Jun 29

This video shared on Twitter compiles a number of violent acts committed by police officers in the US during the #BlackLivesMatter protests that have been taking place after unarmed black man, #GeorgeFloyd, was killed in police custody on the 25th May 2020 at the hands of a white police officer on the streets of Minneapolis.

The video has amassed over 51 million views and accumulated thousands of comments, shares and retweets with people sharing the same feeling, utter disgust; with most questioning the same thing. Who are the police 'serving and protecting' exactly?

People are describing the police brutality shown in the video that is 2 minutes and 13 seconds long as a pandemic.

So 'exactly who' do you think the US police departments are 'serving & protecting?'
