Rubber Bullets Hurt: Police Open Fire Into Peaceful Crowds (NSFW)

Harrowing images have surfaced of the impact that police brutality is having on people across the US, with police open firing into crowds with rubber bullets and the results are completely devastating.

The Below images are definitely Not Safe For Work (NSFW), which means they're going to be upsetting and distressing to say the least.

Images of not just protesters that are being shot at by police are surfacing, but of journalists being injured as a result of #PoliceBrutality.

Outrage towards police has been sparked by the harrowing images of injuries that have been inflicted from the police across demonstrations that have been protesting against police brutality that led to The Death of George Floyd. Again, these images are #NSFW so please come off this article if they are too upsetting for you to look at.

The user of rubber bullets and contracted forces has been deeply disturbing to many and with significant lasting impacts for the victims as these images show. Many people have reported serious injuries and some have even reported a loss of sight after being shot in the eye by various police forces.

A journalist on the scene found the rubber bullet that was fired at him by the Phoenix Police Department in Arizona. As the image shows, these rubber bullets are solid, tough and massive, they are half the size of a person's hand and their damage cannot be understated. When referring to #RubberBullets, they almost sound harmless and as if they would be soft which would not cause serious bodily harm. This could not be further from the truth.

The Arizona journalist also captured the damage that was caused by the rubber bullets to his leg and it's really not good. People's reactions to the almost harmless sounding 'rubber bullets' have distress as a shot to the leg or arm can cause bleeding and tearing of the skin, nevermind the damage that can be caused to the chest, head, face and eyes.

Another journalist in #LosAngeles was hit in the throat by a rubber bullet and the damage is serious. The severe damage to people cannot be overstated and these bullets are more often than not, being used to disperse peaceful protests that are being held to condemn police brutality, especially towards the black community.

It has been made clear that #protesting police brutality is not okay and that nobody is safe, not even reporters and journalists during these predominantly peaceful protests.
